Cannot Connect to Unraid API - RED Triangle in Unraid Dashboard

Featured Replies

Hallo,

can you plz check the discussion in general support forum?

I have the problem that unraid api cannot connect to server and I get red triangle in dashboard saying API is offline.

In addition to the description in the topic below I tried to run "unraid-api restart" but I get same error as shown ...

What is wrong? What can I do?

Thanks

I had the same error. Don't know the cause, but I fixed it by removing and re-installing the plugin (requires a re-sign in on the connect page).

re-sign in on the connect page

That will often fix it without reinstall.

Hallo,

Sorry for late reply, I was on holiday trip.

Thanks, it worked to re-install connect plugin. I could not re-sign since it was grayed out.

I did not think that the most obvious step will help 🙂

Hit the same issue. I am not able to login/resign again.

Same issue here, tried to redownload the plugin, no succes. I did not try to reboot, it will disrupt a lof of things right now. I guess I shouldnt have updated the plugin.

Ditto for me. Tried redownloading, no success. Rebooted and the plugin seemed to be working, but unconfigured. in the process of configuring it, specifically at inserting my user UUID from the online account settings page, it returned to the same "API is offline" error that started my down this path. Also, interestingly, in the settings, it says I am not signed in, but won't let me actually sign in either. It also throws a weird "Error: error message not found" error on that page when I tried to apply the UUID (also does it now whenever I hit apply.

After the second error, I also deleted any browser cookies and re-logged in, hoping it was a retained login issue. No help.

Here are my logs.

Adding on that this broke after I recently updated the plugin identically to the above 2 posts.

I first tried unraid-api restart, as well as manual stop -> wait -> start.  Uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled.

Uninstalled, made sure the config was blank and default, reinstalled and sign-in is still grayed out with unraid-api is offline error.   Worked fine until the last update for me.

Unraid-api status claims it is online, but the the logs show the same as above 2 posts:

{"errors":[{"error":{"name":"InternalError","message":"Graphql is offline."}}]}

I'm experiencing the same problem.

fixed as of 05.05.2025 with connect plugin update. thx!

Thanks for the 2025.05.01.2159 update - however, no improvements. Tried update w/ preinstalled former plugin version as well as complete delete and reinstall. No connection with the API. Also re-registering returned the same message "Something went wrong - Signin failed".

Hello all, FYI upgrading to 7.1.0 finally just solved the issue.

yeah that won't help in the long run, i updated from 7.0 to 7.1.2 because i thought that i get "forced" to. With 7.0 i never had API problems until few weeks ago and it's really annoying because it slows down the webgui extremly. After updating to 7.1.2 it worked again for like 1 week or 2 until the API problem started again. I now uninstalled unraid connect and hope that in the future an update will come out and fix it.

Hello, I have this issue since I updated from 7.1.2 to 7.1.3 this morning.

Download of appfeed failed.

Community Applications requires your server to have internet access. The most common cause of this failure is a failure to resolve DNS addresses. You can try and reset your modem and router to fix this issue, or set static DNS addresses (Settings - Network Settings) of 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 and try again.

Alternatively, there is also a chance that the server handling the application feed is temporarily down. See also this post for more information

Last JSON error Recorded: Syntax error

What it does not fix:

- Reboot

- Reinstalling the Connect plugin

- Sign out and sign in again your machine to https://connect.myunraid.net/

Apps and Plugins page working again as soon as machine is signed out from connect.myunraid.net

Any ideas?
