Can't update Firefox docker for some time

Featured Replies

Hi

when I update all my dockers, I succeed for all but Firefox due to insufficient space

'Container Size' I think looks reasonable

Name                                            Container                Writable                 Log

firefox                                         2.58 GB                  0 B                      49.8 MB
PhotoPrism                                      2.29 GB                  13.8 kB                  7.48 kB
CrashPlanPRO                                    686 MB                   267 kB                   122 kB
GooglePhotosSync                                420 MB                   40.3 kB                  262 kB
qbittorrent                                     136 MB                   71.7 kB                  6.98 kB

Total size                                      6.11 GB                  393 kB                   50.2 MB

the issues isn't the docker continers space the isues is the docker image voume of space and how much room is avilabe on disk to read and write in the space..

stop all dockers.
turn docker off

image.thumb.png.04ddf64841e812cfcbe2eccce0d22a06.png

with it off increase the docker image file size...

image.thumb.png.84741b465b070dc9a019dd308b5d09b4.png

the path on the disk needs to be able to handle the vdisk size.
Even with 80 GB assigned with the number of docker I run. Running a local AI I don't have the space nor the ability to docker update local AI
as the local AI base image and docker model downloads a good 10 GB... you hit your vdisk space limitation and need to increase the vdisk size to update.

OR

Due to space limitations...

remove the firefox docker removing the docker image.

then click add container and select firefox from the template. It will update and pull the tag image if there is space and reuse the save data volume mapped...

as this deletes the space of the firefox docker to be reused by the new pull...

Hi

Sorry I might be asking a silly question, how do I stop the docker service?

  • Author

I don't see any 'Apply' button here.. is there?

you have to turn enable docker form yes to no first then you will see the other docker options as the docker service need to be off... as seen above in the pictures...

you also using a theme, not the standard unriad webui...

I don't remember I changed a theme, but I now played with all 4 (Azure, White, Black, Gray), I set the dropdown to 'No' but nothing happens, no Apply button,

there is also some checkbox on far right, without any label on it. It does nothing as well.

Use the White or Black theme, and clear your browser cache. Also, make sure adblockers or anything else are not interfering with the webUI.

cant help you getrid of the weird theme and try again its your them causing issues using the web ui..

settings > display settings

But again I don't know waht theme your using nor how you would submit or apply the setting on page... You may need to start over if you bricked and broke your emhttp web interface by using a theme...

  • Author

I wrote I played with other themes also, exactly the same

Then contact support ... the issues is still that you used a theme and don't know how to use the theme... DON'T USE IT!

If you can't apply that not a thing we can walk you though here, there is no xyz or terminal command and its quite a few usb config edits and reboot/reload... that i'm not going to take the time to try and assist. Especially when your not providing enoth information... SO GO to the Theme and and the theme creator to assist you...

the fact that you can't apply is a bigger issue then the docker layout, docker option and setting you need to do following the default unraid layout...  Any space issue as you may have may also be a theme web code issue and you may need to redo the usb flash drive to fix your broken web UI that needs major fixes!...

I could only advise to use something like chrome using the web console and add the html for the inspect console... And potential give the web code, as that may/would add and make my own button but not sure what the theme, if any web code changes may be doing...

SO uninstall and undo ALL AND ANY THEME!

Try booting in safe mode, to rule out any plugin issues, and/or using a different browser.

Browsers I also tried, safe mode - not yet, I opened a support ticket

If the Apply button doesn't show up, it's not an OS issue, there's something wrong with your install or the browser.

Update:

Following support advise (and as here already advised), rebooted in Safe Mode, 'Apply' button re-appeared, I also discovered that the vdisk size was merely 10GB, so I raised it to 40GB, and rebooted back.

Interestingly, after that, Apply appeared also while not in Safe Mode.

Another question, why the vdisk size was 10GB as the default should be 20GB (I didn't change, I usually don't do things I don't understand)

I reiterated over my list of plugins, I basically have there Dynamix and few others like Recycle Bin.. Anyway, everything works now after reboot.

It may have been an older default.
