Problems after 7.1.4 Update

Featured Replies

I just upadted 2 servers, 1 went off without problems, but the other is having some issues with displaying some of the webgui after the update. Some sections of the dashboard, and most sections of the main page are just blank. No disks are showing, no network devices are showing, etc

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Does it work correctly with a different web browser? Try flushing your browser cache.

no, it does not work on either of 2 pcs, edge or firefox.image.pngimage.png

Try booting in safe mode.

That worked. But now what could be the issue then?

Heres the list of plugins I'm using on this server, same as on another 7.1.4 server, but that one is running without issues?

The Unraid connect plugin was causing the issue. After removing it, I found that all my network settings had been deleted/removed. Working on adding those now to see if the problem isresolved.

Hi, facing same issue here. the webGUI just went empty after the update. no array or usb stick is showing. but they are there and the array is spooled up and running. no cpu activity, no memory activity. no fan information displaying Capture d’écran 2025-08-21 à 18.57.14.pngCapture d’écran 2025-08-21 à 18.56.37.png

Try booting in safe mode and/or using a different browser; if the same, it may be worth trying 7.2.0-beta.2, it may help with that issue.

Yeah, this was intermittently fixed for me by uninstalling the unraid connect plug-in. But sometimes that still wouldn't fix it.

I rolled forward to 7.2.0 beta1 and have not seen the issue since

Potentially compatibility settings between the GUI and plugins I think

hello all.

Many thanks for your help. 😃

Here is what i did.

=> Reverted the update to 7.1.2 => Not ok. unRaid is on version 7.1.2 but the webGUI is still missing cpu, memory and array.

=> deleted plugin Unraid Connect that was on latest version and triggered again the update to 7.1.2 > 7.1.4

=> after reboot/update and login, the webGUI works as expected. everything is normal.

=> re installed plugin Unraid Connect > everything is still ok and works as expected.

Seems that before you update from 7.1.2 to 7.1.4 you need to remove unraid connect from the plugins and then update.

I have a second server that hosts VMs and a bunch of other things. i plan to do it later this night and will keep you posted on the result.

Thank you to all

I am having this same problem, however, I have never installed the Unraid Connect plugin. I will try installing to beta.

I tried 7.2.0 beta1 and the slowness on the GUI is still affecting my server. The CPU and Memory are perfectly fine. The server runs fine, its only loading things that takes forever. My Plex Docker Server is also having the same issues. Loading Libraries and starting movies or skipping through the movie takes extended time to load, but once loaded it runs fine with no hiccup.

TOP via CLI shows no CPU Wait time as well.

For the Unraid GUI, the issue is like the initial poster's issue. The pages load, but the details on the CPU/Memory, Shares, and the Array Drives take between 30 seconds to 2 minutes to load and sometimes they dont load that information at all.

As i had previously stated, i do not have this Unraid Connect Plugin installed either.

I also have the same slowness in loading on Firefox, Chrome, and Edge.

Im at a total loss on what could be causing this issue.

Anyone have any ideas I could check into?

Here is my Plugin List as well (I have already tested removing all of these Plugins and the issue remains):

Try updating to -beta.3, there are some fixes regarding the lag some users see with some pages. Using a different browser, like Firefox may also help.

Thank you for that advisement. Im currently working on reinstalling my plugin after having tested removing them all. Once I am done, i will try that. Also, i have already confirmed the same issue on 3 Browsers including Firefox. Firefox is my default browser as well.

Well, I just got done installing my plugins back into my server. However, now after i rebooted my server it will no longer give me access. I hear the Beep Alert i have configured sounding off that the array has started, but i am unable to ping the server or access it.

I tried safe mode yesterday and that caused this same issue, however, when i rebooted again it let me in.. but this time it is not letting me in no matter how many times i reboot...

Im starting to feel like im playing whack a mole here...

I pulled my Flash drive and plugged it into my PC. My Network settings are just fine and the boot config is defaulted to Unraid OS GUI Mode.

I was going to update the OS to Beta3 but this happened now...

Im at a complete loss..

These are not the only issues this server has been giving me lately...

Im thinking i need to just reformat reinstall my entire Unraid Flash Drive and start fresh. But i am afraid that is going to end up deleting all my data on my array...

Any ideas on how i can get back into my server so i can test Beta3?

I thought the RTL8125 Drivers Plugin may have been the issue, however, even when i removed it's folder from /config/plugins/, that didnt give me access back either... (There was no .plg file for it)

I tried removing all of the plugins files i added and that is not working either...

Please post the diagnostics; you can get them from the CLI.

Unfortunately, I am unable to access the CLI too, the Server will not give a network connection and it has no console/video output device either. I just recently reformated and reinstalled the Unraid USB though.. I did back up the old USB files before doing so.

But as for a diagnostic, i have no idea how to generate one without a video output of some sort

I had kind of similar/same issue no network and probably no webGUI(cuz i had no network/ unraid did not connected back no mater how many times i restarted it after waiting for 10+min) after i updated (7.0.1 -> 7.1.4). It was pain dinging in the back to plug monitor and keyboard to see if i have any monitor output. I google after that an saw this thread a bit late, I did have USB backup and was readying to go with the safe-mode and remove the cpu plugin and the unraid patch plugin as some ppl suggested above or backup restore route if it does not work after reading this thread.

Here is what worked for me/FIXED IT:
While I was reaching to unplug the unraid usb (and do that safe mode or backup restore routes) I saw that i had one bit-locker encrypted NTFS usb drive that i used in one of my windows VM's so I unplugged it and started the machine and my unraid came back to life...

So I suggest try unplugin any external drives if you have any (beside the unraid usb) cuz that may fix it....

I have no other USB devices connected to my Server, just the Internal HDDs and SSDs

You'll need to connect a keyboard and monitor.

Like i have said, I cannot connect a monitor. there is no video output on my server

Then I'm afraid that it will be very difficult to see what the issue is.
