Unraid API is currently offline and unraid-api: command not found

Featured Replies

After installing Unraid Connect I always get the following error in the UI. I'm not sure the unraid-api is running. Based what I've seen in the forums, I tried starting the API via CLI and the unraid-api utility doesn't seem to be available as the command is not found in my server. I've tried uninstalling/installing the Unraid Connect plugin but still, I'm unable to login from the server to Unraid Connect. Below is all I can see in the Unraid API management settings. What am I missing? Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Everyhing looks nornal to me:

Jul 9 12:00:14 Gorilla unraid-api[6964]: ✔️ UNRAID API started successfully!

But maybe someone from the Connect team can see something

Are you using an alternative shell? This is a pretty common issue for users on Zsh.

I had the same issue since updating to unraid 7.1.4 from 7.0.0.

The unraid-api command was not there.
While installing the connect plugin i could see a message that said unraid-api was not in PATH.

i noticed that when i did ls -la /usr/local/bin/unraid-api this returned a directory. On my other server this is not.
So i renamed this directory and reinstalled the connect plugin. The PATH error message was gone (now has a check next to it instead of a cross ) and after a few minutes i could sign in to my unraid account.

This is what you should see when running the ls command.

This is what was there before and me renaming the folder.

Thanks so much for this. We'll add a check to our plugin installation to make sure we remove a directory for unraid-api, that should always be a symlink!

unraid connect is needed to get the api key?
