first install can't sign in to unraid account via unraid connect

Featured Replies

I'm trying out unraid and I'm trying to sign via unraid connect, I can connect to account.unraid.net but via the unraid connect plugin, i get sign in failed. I'm trying 2 different accounts, a fresh install. Networking is working

Any help would be appreciated, this is a frustrating 1st experience

Thanks

I had the same issue the other day on a new server setup and this issue resolved after a reboot.

  • 2 weeks later...

I can't sign in as well as it's just hanging for a few minutes until it says it failed (and completely locking up the UI at the same time). Have not tried a reboot yet.

I have the same problem with unraid 7.2.1

Unraid connect is broken according to the ticket I was given a reply by support.

They are working on a fix I guess

It should be working if you are using the latest plugin, what is the error you see?

Unfortunately seeing the same issue on 7.2.3. I installed the plugin through

unraid-api plugins install unraid-api-plugin-connect

and it hangs on the sign-in before saying "Sign In Failed".

Any updates?

You can try this, uninstall the Connect plugin first (Plugins tab)

Then open a terminal window and type or copy/paste

unraid-api stop

mv /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.my.servers/ /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.my.servers.bak/

Now reboot the server, reinstall the Connect plugin, and try registering the server once more, make sure you are doing it from the dropdown:

If that fails, post diags after trying to sign in, in case there's somehing logged.

I'm on version 7.2.3 and was also stuck with the "Sign In Failed" error. I was able to complete the registration as follows:

  1. in the terminal window, call unraid-api stop

  2. in the GUI (Settings -> Unraid API Status) click on "Restart API" (could have probably done this in the terminal window as well, but I'm an Unraid newbie)

  3. open the menu (orange icon) and click on "Sign In with Unraid.net Account"

Also on version 7.2.3. I did the unraid-api stop and unraid-api start from the terminal.

root@HunterNAS:~# unraid-api stop

[PM2] [unraid-api](0) ✓

root@HunterNAS:~# unraid-api start

Starting the Unraid API

I can see the server from the unraid connect server management. But trying to load the server link (https://10-253-0-1.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.myunraid.net:61234/) just returns "this site can't be reached". Any suggestions?
