Maybe you could post a video, OBS Studio can cap that for free.

What theme are you using?

On the test server I'm using whatever the default is. On my production server I'm using the black color theme.

Here's a video of the issue. I wiggle the mouse in the area where the logo and status disappear. They both reappear when the task completes.

Also, I downgraded my test server to 6.12.15 and it does NOT do this! It appears to show each step as it moves along and nothing in the UI disappears.

Here's the same operation on 6.12.15. Notice the logo doesn't disappear and I get a progress as it updates the container. The process takes a little longer because the test server is just an old SFF PC with 8GB.

6.12 video is the normal behavior, and the one that everyone else also sees with 7.2, if it still happens for you with a new install, no idea what it could be, but I suspect it's something specific to your server/setup.

Are you by any chance doing 2 docker operations at the same time? That'll do it for me. Possibly a container restarting in a loop in the background?

I've had this happen several times but not consistently. Seemed it might be dependent on where I triggered the operation from (dashboard vs Docker page vs CA), some of which have slightly different layouts/behaviors...

It's happening on 3 different systems at this point. My production server, a test laptop, and a SFF PC. The laptop and SFF PC are new installations.

No. This test server only has 1 container.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

I see this symptom with a fresh trial key and on 3 different systems.

Using Chrome 145.0.7632.116, no adblockers installed. Only extensions installed are "Chrome Remote desktop", "Return youtube dislike", and "Tabs Outliner"

Windows 11 latest updates as of today.

I have just upgraded to 7.2.3 from 7.1.4, and I am having this same behavior as seen in the video above for 7.2.3.

The screen updates finally at the end when the docker is started, and the progress is not shown for downloading the image parts, the uncompressing, etc.

Updated two different containers, and the web page exhibited the same behavior both times.

The docker image was successfully updated in the end.

I just tried in Edge:

I don't use edge, so no extensions are installed.

  • Created a new container

    • Page showed the downloading parts, uncompressing, starting, etc.

  • Updated the docker image to point to a later version

    • Page does not show downloading parts, uncompressing, starting, etc.

Had it happen a few times lately, seems to be mostly when changing the repo/tag from the dashboard page.

Thanks @Adam Lamore and @Kilrah for reporting the same issue too.

Guess I'm not the only one!

I can reproduce this by changing repo tag, confirming @Kilrah

Can you post an example, please?

There. Basically the progress doesn't "stream", it just shows once finished. The longer the operation is the more obvious it is of course.

Thanks for posting the bug report @Kilrah !

FWIW, 7.2.4 has the same problem for me on my main server.
