Share on cache not showing up

Featured Replies

I just upgraded to 7.2.3 last night and now a share on my cache is not showing up in finder on my Mac. When I go into shares I see it does not have an SMB setting. How can I setup access to this share like I had before?

That share doesn't exist

d-------s shareUseCache="yes" # Share does not exist

appdata does have some files on cache though (and on the array)

appdata shareUseCache="only" # Share exists on cache, disk8, disk20

Can you see downloads on the User Shares page?

Yes if I go into the shares tab I can see it

Make sure the capitalisation of the .cfg file for the share in the config/shares folder on the flash drive matches the actual capitalisation of the share folders on the hard drives/pools.

It would still show up as existing in Diagnostics even if it didn't have a .cfg file.

What do you get from command line with this?

ls -lah /mnt/user

The diagnostics suggest there is a capitalisation issue as it mentions both a d————-s and a D———-s type share under config/shares

Type:

rm /boot/config/shares/downloads.cfg

Then go to the Downloads share, reapply the settings, make a dummy change and click apply, and post new diags.

That share has default settings now. Did you make settings for it?
