You can always install the Config File Editor plugin which makes editing any file of this type very easy without any need to go to the command line.

Because you need port 80 for something other than the unraid interface, particularly if you plan on running nginx proxy manager or something similar.

That is not a good reason. NPM and other containers can and should be mapped to other ports, and redirected in your external firewall if you need port 80 to answer on your WAN.
