unRAID 5.0-rc10 emhttp does not start and unRAID hangs after starting

Recommended Posts

I upgraded to 5.0-rc10 last night and restarted machine.  The web UI does not start up.  I can however ping the machine and telnet into it.  If I telnet into it and start emhttp manually as per the go script, then the web UI starts up.  The moment I try and start the array though, the whole machine hangs to the degree that the keyboard on the machine does not even respond and I have to hard-reset the machine.

My syslog is attached.  The syslog is from the startup and then the manual start of emhttp, then I copied the syslog, because the moment I then go into the web UI and start the array everything hangs solidly.  Any ideas?

Best Regards

Johan

Can't see any problems, but there is no evidence of the array starting in this syslog, so cannot see why that had issues.

There is a line indicating 'auto start disabled', I believe that is an UnRAID setting, but hard to change if you can't get to the Settings page...

I would swap your go file with a completely vanilla one, as found in any UnRAID AIO distro in the config folder, and temporarily remove any addons from any install folders, such as packages and extra etc, then try to boot.

Thanks Robj.  So I can understand the array not starting and I can change that setting, but the web UI also doesn't start and I don't understand why not.  It does start when I start it manually via telnet.  I am using the standard go file with the few lines of comments at the top and the only executable line is the one that starts emhttp.  That's wht is not working for some reason, but if I execute the exact same statement via telnet then it does start the web UI.  And then after that the machine hangs when trying to start the array.
