March 9, 201313 yr Yes, I noticed the same. Another Linux machine doesn't have any problem accessing such unRAID NFS share. As for mede8er player I haven't seen any details published about their NFS implementation. I know it supports NFS v2 and 3 and possibly 4. It supports TCP as well as UDP protocols. They blocked telnet/ssh access to the box, so I can't check anything. It is definitely some Linux. Hope that can help though: http://www.mede8er.org/Firmware_Final/GPL_SOURCE/1186/1186_GPL_source.tar.bz2 It's based on linux 2.6.34.
March 10, 201313 yr What I noticed that there are no problems when I connect to the share via full path name, e.g. Using Mac Go To line or putting share path into Popcorn a300, I can access with no problem. However if I need to browse for shares then it shows empty when you enter that share. I am running custom FW on Pioneer BDP 150 and you cannot type in full path, you have to browse to it and it is a no go on rc11 but works fine on rc10.
March 11, 201313 yr I get stale NFS share error in Xubuntu when accessing my server running RC11. I can read somewhat ok (occasional stale error), but if I write the share will go blank and Xubuntu reports stale NFS share. If I go in through Samba it works fine. No change in my configurations since RC10, which worked. I mount a set of shares in Xubuntu using autofs which I have been doing for several RC with no change to Xubuntu config or unRAID NFS config other than upgrade to RC11. Only way I can cure it is to let the mount timeout and then access it again. Those using fixed mounts you most likely will have to unmount and mount the share again or restart NFS on your server. Nothing shows in my logs regarding this NFS access issue. March 28, 201313 yr Has anyone had a chance to test if RC12a solved the empty NFS issue discussed on this thread? I would like to move up on releases but if RC12a is not addressing it, I have to stay on RC10 :'(

I would like to move up on releases but if RC12a is not addressing it, I have to stay on RC10 :'( In my case, it is better but I don't think it is completely cured... If I were you, I would give it a try and see if that is also the case for you.
April 11, 201313 yr Empty share on my Pioneer BDP as well on 12a, however, 10 continues to work fine. I wonder what is causing this issue. Popcornhour A300 shows movies in the shares on 12a but Mediatek and Real based devices do not. Also, I wanted to add Pioneer does not have an option to type the NFS share path in, it discovers all NFS share everytime and lists them while A300 stores the path.
April 13, 201313 yr Hi, Has there been any resolution to this as I've recently bought a 600X3D and it's having the same empty share problem, my PCH-A400 can browse nfs shares without any probs.SMB shares work fine btw. I'm currently running the RC11a atm, is it worth installing RC12a or rolling back to RC10 ?. Cheers
April 25, 201313 yr I'm running RC12a and still seeing this problem of an empty NFS user share with a 600X3D. I also have a WDTV Live running the wdlxtv firmware. It can see the NFS share with no issues. The mount point in the WDTV for the share is: Device: 192.168.1.40:/mnt/user/Media Options: ro,vers=3,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,soft,intr,proto=udp,timeo=7,retrans=3,sec=sys,addr=192.168.1.40 while the mount point in the 600X3D is: rw,relatime,vers=3,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,namlen=255,hard,nolock,proto=udp,port=65535,timeo=7,retrans=3,sec=sys,mountport=65535,mountproto=,addr=192.168.1.40
May 20, 201313 yr Can anyone confirm if this issue is resolved on 12a? I am remaining on 10 just because of that. Thanks.
June 6, 201313 yr Hallo. I have upgraded from rc10 to rc13. But the NFS problem for me is the same as in rc12a So i roll back to rc10 and everything works fine. Habe soeben von rc10 auf rc13 hochgerüstet. Leider ist für mich das NFS Problem in rc13 noch nicht gelöst. Bin wieder zurück auf rc10 !!!
June 13, 201313 yr Since I don't have any of those media players, here is what would help solve this. Please create the file 'config/extra.cfg' on your flash and put this line in there: shfsExtra=-logging 3 Then Stop/Start your array and then browse with your media player to make the problem happen. This will generate a large amount of debugging lines in your system log. Stop array, remove the 'extra.cfg' file, and Start array to restore normal operation, then send the system log to me: [email protected]
June 14, 201313 yr Author OK, just sent the log to your email address for the third time since February
June 16, 201313 yr Fixed for med8er players too! Great work Tom and the community. Fixed on my Mede8er also. Thanks!
June 16, 201313 yr Thanks for the heads up. That narrows down the "issue" to rc11 only. Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have this issue on RC12a with an MED1000X3d.
June 17, 201313 yr Thanks for the heads up. That narrows down the "issue" to rc11 only. Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have this issue on RC12a with an MED1000X3d. Always upgrade to the latest -rc please; that's what they're for, to correct bugs in eariler -rc's.
