Lime-tech front page hacked?

Featured Replies

Just heard of the defacement (which is still there), hope it's fixed soon.

These things do happen as Joe pointed out (as he HAD to, after all, but correct nevertheless), but happening is one thing, lack of reaction another.

Such things made me disappear years ago, that things are the same (or I'd say worse) YEARS later, only double-verifies I was correct. Back then Tom was (way) more off than on forum, there was a discussion if he needed to hire or at least say a "thanks" to people that were actively doing... his job, 5.0 was pre-beta or something. 2013 now. I think everything is the same ain't it? Correct me if I am wrong.

I don't know about you people, but I believe life is rather short to wait for projects for ever. It's not a "going to Mars" project. I wanted 5.0 for myself, not for my son. My son will probably find his own file pooling/safe-keeping solutions. :D

To all: You guys do your research. The Internet is a big place.

To Tom: My original suggestions still apply. Wish you the best (as always - I like small businesses and people striving for success). Amateur handling with a commercial product is never going to cut it though. Never.

NLS,

Hope your precious FlexRAID website doesn't get defaced. What excuse will you use then to defend Brahim?    It's only a website and really has nothing to do with the quality of teh unRAID product.  I use unRAID without issue as intended and even beyond that.

Do us a favour and truly move along.

Sorry but here it goes!  Soundtrack?  I only saw a picture of the page shown in these forums, and never went to the home page to see it.  Now I looked and it says down for maintenance...  What was the soundtrack?  Was it some cool MOD type hacker music?  That would be appropriate given the situation, but I missed it and am a bit curious now.  I was not aware there was anything but the image.

While I LOVE unRAID, and have done my part to "spread the word and love"...  There are more things in life than this web site and unRAID, or even computers for that matter.  No matter how much unRAID may or may not be a labor of love for Tom, I certainly would not expect him to live here, and neglect life, and would feel rather sad at the prospect if he did.  I hope he spends as little time here as he can while still keeping things rolling.  As I see it, he seems to have a good set of priorities.

He responds quickly to new orders, and queries about such.  He also seems to respond quite quickly, with some aid of moderators and the like, to major issues in builds, or in this case the web site, when he either finds out, or is made aware of them.

This is NOT a site that is a life critical function, or even a hazardous situation if neglected.  It is a site for convenience providing a very handy and useful tool for all of use to use.  And a very great set of forum pages where we can hang out when we want to.  To even think we should be able to ask, let alone demand Tom to do more is not appropriate, nor should it be expected.

Post suggestions, notify about concerns, and even have some fun, within the proper sub-forums.  The moderators are also here and can do GREAT results with answering questions, that does not equate to Tom not doing his job.  He defines what his job is, not us.  If he can not enjoy life while also providing a very great and wonderful product to us, while also providing us a very usable and enjoyable service path via the forums... why would he even continue to bother with any updates to unRAID?

I would just like to say THANKS TOM! for everything you have done for the community in general, with unRAID specifically.  Also a very big thanks to all the moderators, and those I may not even be thinking of.

In many ways I see this as another family, sometimes not so functional...  :-)  but family none the less.  So please I hope no-body will take any of this in a way other than how it was intended.  When events like this occur, yes it may be frustrations, angering, or more... but it gives us the chance to pull even more together to make things better, and to take up whatever slack we may individually be able to.  (many of us MUCH less than other are able to...)

Peace not war, love not hate!!!  :-)  so Peace out!  Love in!  --- so to speak...

That was supposed to be a kick in the balls for me?

Sorry you missed me.

My unRAID also worked fine (for all it's limited use and functionality) until I removed it. Never said it didn't.

You also MIGHT have noticed I never mentioned any other solution (to advertise or whatever). You did.

After I removed unRAID I tried at least 3 alternatives.

Peace.

I actually agree. Or I would, if this was a freeware or maybe even a shareware.

He responds quickly to new orders, and queries about such.

Erm... I rest my case. :P:D

EDIT: I don't plan to take this further and will follow Kryspy's "push" (who are you again? I think you even registered after I have left?) to "move along". So keep the flames.

It was this song:

Why are you here, exactly? It's been so nice without your sanctimonious nonsense coming from beyond. For some reason you have returned, bringing with you more of the same underhanded responses as before, relishing in what you perceive to be witty and intelligent commentary. In fact, you're just an ass.  :)  Now that you've been called out for what you're doing, please, troll away.
