Can't modify my own topics anymore [SOLVED]

Featured Replies

What happened ?

Something changed in the forum set up, because I can't modify anymore any of the topics which I have created.

Thanks.

This applies to existing ones, anything new is okay ...

If I had to guess ... an unintended casualty of closing the fork thread and preventing it from being reopened.  Perhaps a global setting used vice a thread specific one [shrug].  Like I said, a guess.

The change was made so that the deletion of entire threads is no longer possible.  Deleting ones own posts are fine but the side effect of deleting the thread was that every conversation/post within that thread was also gone.  We felt that that particular thing should not happen.

All understandable, but I am stuck in modifying my OT's. I keep track of changes and update accordingly to make sure people have always the recent and correct info/PLG version.

Any chance in getting that restored ?

We will look into it.  I don't know how fin grained the controls are but we will see if the ability to modify a post/thread can be enabled separately from the ability to delete it entirely.

One way of interpreting your answer is the choice between modifying or deleting my topics, though - pretty sure - the latter one is not really your intention  ;)

What I did last night was change a setting so that posts can not be modified after 24 hours.  I did this to give the forum a "breather" and I realize this can't stand.  I'll get rid of it soon.

Keeping your breath for 24 hours is quite an achievement  ;D
