Disks don't spin down like they used to

Featured Replies

hi,

my disks don't spin down like they used to (my setting is spin down after 15 min). i don't know how to check what keeps them up (any tips on terminal command?)...

i though maybe directories cache plugin is keeping them up, but apparently not, as i disabled it, and the disks still won't spin down...anyway here's dir cache settings:

Cache_Dir 1.6.7 settings:

Min sec between scans - 5

Max sec between scans - 10

Dir scan depth - 10

cache pressure - 200

everything else is default

other plugins i use: sabnzbd (its downloading only to 1 disk, so its not that i guess, as I've been running it since forever, and disks spun down no problem)

Transmission (not active currently)

utorent on one of the computers (but again - it downloads to only 1 disk, and it used to keep only this specific disk up...)

sys log is attached - btw it shows that disk do spin down, but unraid web gui and unmenu show that all disks are spinning...

best regards,

vadim

Hi Baron-

Are you using Dynamix by chance?

Hi,

no, only what i listed

just a thought - could this be the mover script? (i just noticed its presence in the syslog, and disabled it - i don't need it really...)

Install Inotifywait. There is an unmenu package but it can be installed on its own.
