icedragonslair
Everything seems to running very smoothly but the log keeps showing memory errors and I have no idea what they are (I have run memtest and showed no errors)? There are a few other minor errors but they are really not that serious. Here is the log: syslog-2014-03-26.txt Link to comment
DaleWilliams
At the risk of missing something, everything looks normal to me. ? ? What line number(s) are you worried about? Although I do see a BIOS warning...you might check for a BIOS update. Link to comment
icedragonslair
I see that what I see on the page (pic below) does not show up on that or the new log Link to comment
garycase
... I have run memtest and showed no errors ... For how long? I've seen cases where it takes 6-10 cycles before MemTest displays errors. This can be a LONG time. I'd run MemTest for a full day before really eliminating memory as the problem. And even then, it's possible there's some strange timing issue that depends on a specific access patter that MemTest never hits, but Linux/UnRAID does. If the issue's gone, and isn't re-occurring, then I'd simply not worry about it. But if it continues to occur, run a very long MemTest ... or simply replace the memory modules and see if that resolves it. [i've seen several cases where swapping memory modules resolved intermittent memory errors -- even though the "bad" modules worked perfectly in a different system] Link to comment
