itimpi
I wonder if you have some file system corruption that is stopping the file from being created. If you supply a syslog that might give some useful information. Link to comment
sambo
Here we go ... Running version: 5.0.5 on safemode syslog.txt Link to comment
pinion
Could this happen if the cache drive is full? Link to comment
itimpi
Could this happen if the cache drive is full? Not sure, but I think it could if it is ALMOST full. You should set the min free space to be as large (or larger) than the largest file you are going to copy. Do not see anything obvious in the syslog. Link to comment
sambo
Cache drive:160 GB Free:80.74 GB Share dont use cache drive ... Write on cache drive works perfectly, and write directly on both 2 drive of x264 share works too ... Link to comment
itimpi
You should set a value for the min free space that is larger than the file you are intending to write. With it set to 0 then unEAID can select the first disk to create the file, and then run out of space while writing the file. Link to comment
sambo
Was initialy set to 100GB ... isnt the problem ... Both 2 drive have 100GB+ free, and as I said, i can mkdir on directly with /mnt/disk8 & 9 Link to comment
itimpi
then I would suggest doing a file system check on the problem drive. Link to comment

pinion
Before I lose the copy and paste I found this earlier which may or may not point you in a direction of help: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=35403.0 Would it be possible for you to delete some of the things that are taking up a lot of space on disk 8? Do you have a lot of files in the root of that share (/mnt/user/x264)? Like a lot a lot of files? There are inode limits but I'm not familiar enough with it. I also see you haven't posted any type of system log. If you have trouble getting help on the forum sometimes it's best to read over this: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=9880.0 Link to comment

JonathanM
Still same issue ... Nobody from the staff can help me? I assume by "staff" you mean limetech paid employee? If so, the forum is the wrong place to ask. The forum is largely a "by the people, for the people" support area. If you want help directly from limetech, you need to email [email protected] Link to comment
