November 22, 201411 yr Tiger Direct has the HP ProLiant MicroServer G7 (N54L) for $199.99 plus shipping, which was a little over $9 for me in Michigan. I personally think these are great for small builds and I'll be using mine to upgrade my N40L, which will become my backup. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9435299&CatId=329
November 22, 201411 yr Awesome price! Usually it's newegg that has had these on sale before, but never a price this low. Well worth the price.
November 22, 201411 yr Author Newegg had them on sale yesterday for $259.99 and I ordered one thinking it was a good deal until I saw it on Tiger Direct today. Luckily, I was able to cancel my Newegg order before it shipped.
November 24, 201411 yr Decided to get one. Got rid of my backup n36l earlier today for $175. Now the n54l will be the main and n40l can be the backup.
November 27, 201411 yr Thanks, will see if they will credit me the difference, or if I gotta cancel and rebuy.
November 28, 201411 yr Author Now at 179.99 for Black Friday Thanks! I called and got them to credit me the difference; they would not do it via their online chat, though.
November 28, 201411 yr Some possible further discounts to apply to this: I have a free Shoprunner account for having my AmEx card stored with ShopRunner... giving free shipping from Tiger Direct right now. Paypal has $25 off all Tiger Direct orders over $100 (no code needed). I was charged $10.08 tax, but with all these deals together am getting this for $165.07.
November 28, 201411 yr Now at 179.99 for Black Friday Thanks! I called and got them to credit me the difference; they would not do it via their online chat, though. Same experience, online chat got no where. One call got them to credit the difference. I couldn't resist getting the n54l. My main box is a n40l, and backup machine was a n36l, now with the n54l everything can move up. I managed to dump the n36 on craigslist and now with the price going down to 180, I almost broke even.
November 29, 201411 yr Thanks for the heads up! Bought one @$180. Don't know why, lol. Just couldn't pass up a cheap 4 bay ready to go out of the box unraid server.
