Two Wire
I'm trying to delete folders on one of my server drives, but am unable to do so. Here's what I get: "You require permission from Tower\root to make changes to this folder." I had this problem once before and successfully used Midnight Commander. That has been some time ago and now I can not remember how I accessed my server from my windows machine. I cannot figure out how to reach the server directories with MC. Help please. trurl
Most people use puTTY to telnet from Windows. Do you have it installed on your Windows machine? Link to comment
itimpi
Running the 'New Permissions' utility (assuming you are on v5 or later) should fix this sort of issue. Link to comment
Two Wire
Hey guys, thanks much. I have putty installed but have not used it in a long time. I will check it out along with the New permissions utility. I f I have any questions I will post again. Thanks, Jerry Edit: I spent two hours this morning Googling and trying different things to delete this folder. After I read the reply post, it was gone in less than a minute. Thanks, again Link to comment
