stealth82
I was updating my Plex container from my laptop. I left it unattended and the laptop went to sleep during the update... I can't gain access to the webGUI at the moment and I don't know what it is or it's been of the docker update process. What's the best thing to do in this case? This is what part of my ps command looks like. I mean, I think these are the related processes: root 13498 10211 0 16:38 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/php /usr/local/src/wrap_get.php plugins/dynamix.docker.manager/include/CreateDocker.php updateContainer=true&ct[]=pl root 13524 2 0 16:38 ? 00:00:01 [kworker/u8:2] root 13555 1507 0 16:39 ? 00:00:00 /bin/sh -c /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/scripts/monitor &> /dev/null root 13556 13555 0 16:39 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/php /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/scripts/monitor root 13557 13556 0 16:39 ? 00:00:00 wget -qO /dev/null 127.0.0.1:8080/update.htm?cmdStatus=apply Link to comment
trurl
Can you access it from a different computer? Can you ping it? Link to comment
stealth82
No, I could not access it from any computer. The webGUI was just not loading. That was before because now the webGUI is back online. I can easily guess that's because the docker finished updating while I was trying to figure out what to do So, now everything is working perfectly fine again It makes me wonder though: is that expected behavior or correct user experience? Squid
It makes me wonder though: is that expected behavior or correct user experience? Expected behaviour: yes, because the GUI is busy doing something else. Correct user experience: probably not. Link to comment
BRiT
This problem and others like it, should not happen. However it does happen; I suspect it's because emHttp is not genuinely multi-threaded like real HTTPD software is. If the UI could be run in a real web server, this issue should never happen. Hoopster
I have noticed lately, that, in most cases, there is no text appearing in the docker update window, so, it appears to be hung. I just have to wait until the update is complete (could take a while with some dockers), and the status text all appears at the end of the update and I can click the "done" button and move on. However, I can also switch to another GUI tab, do other tasks and come back to docker later and things seem to work normally. Link to comment
