December 12, 201510 yr Hi all, I'm a newb and having some trouble putting the components of my server together, specifically the PSU. My components: CPU - Intel Xeon E5-1650 v3 CPU cooler - Noctua NH-U12S (NF-F12 120mm 1500/1200rpm) MOBO - SUPERMICRO MBD-X10SRA-F-O PSU - SeaSonic Snow Silent 750 (62A) RAM - Kingston 32GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 2133 SDRAM ECC Registered Case - Norco-4224 Case Fans - Noctua NF-P12 PWM (1300/900rpm) 120mm x 3 Case Fans - Noctua NF-R8 PWM (1800) 80mm x 2 Cache Drive - SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 500GB SATA III SSD MZ-75E500B/AM Hard Drive - WD Red WD60EFRX 6TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s x 2 I just can't figure out how to install the PSU, the screw holes on the back of the chassis don't match the holes on the PSU. There are no instructions to the Norco 4224, and a google search wasn't very helpful. Any ideas? Pictures below showing the PSU, how the holes don't match and some parts that came with the Norco 4224 that I don't know what to do with. Thanks guys.
December 12, 201510 yr Community Expert What does it look like if you turn the PSU over so the plug is at the bottom?
December 12, 201510 yr That plate in the box looks like it could be the answer. I think it might be modular. See if you can unscrew some screws and replace the bit that doesn't fit your PSU with that plate that may....

December 20, 201510 yr Author Hey folks, sorry to revive an old thread, I'm still working on building my system part-time and have some more questions. 1) My motherboard has 10 SATA ports designated s-SATA0-3 and I-SATA0-5. I don't know the difference between s-SATA and I-SATA but I suspect it's internal designator for the chip controller? My question is does it matter which order I hook up my cache drive and reverse SATA breakout cables? I.e., does my cache have to go in I-SATA0 while the reverse breakout cables go in I-SATA1-4? 2) My Norco-4224 case has two USB 2.0 ports in the front. There is a USB pin with 0 holes that looks like it needs to go somewhere on the motherboard, just not sure where. I believe this is the USB header. Can someone take a look at my Supermicro motherboard diagram and tell me where this USB pin should go?
December 20, 201510 yr It looks like the motherboard only has a header for USB3 ports, but your case only has USB2 ports. You could get something like this to convert them..
