  1. I found a guide on how to use UnRaid to make Time Machine backups for my mac. https://wiki.unraid.net/UnRAID_6/Configuring_Apple_Time_Machine#Guide:_Setting_up_a_Time_Machine_Share_on_your_Unraid_Server The instructions say that I need to create a unique Time Machine Share for each person. Is this still the case? The guide doesn't explain why my wife and I can't both use the same Time Machine share to store both of our Time Machine backups. Can someone explain why? Thanks.
  2. My apologies on the poor english. Should have just written that you and dlandon have suggested it may not be necessary and that dlandon suggested it may be more harmful than good.
  3. Not to derail the current conversation about the latest Preclear plugin working for v6.5, but I want to comment that there is some conflicting advice on whether to preclear or not. It seems that some senior members of the community such as dlandon and Squid feel that using this Preclear plugin may not be necessary and sometimes harmful. But then you have official Unraid documentation in the wiki that encourages users to preclear (https://lime-technology.com/wiki/Replacing_a_Data_Drive). Then there are those that say avoid the plugin and just use the script, but even that may require patches. There has obviously been a lot of hard work put in by these developers like gfjardim, and I'm very appreciative of their work. I've precleared all my drives before putting them in my array. But as a user that doesn't visit the Unraid forums often, it's hard to keep up with what the latest advice and caution is. It would be nice if Unraid updated their documentation on the wiki or made it very clear what their stance was on preclearing.
  4. You sir are amazing. Thank you for the quick fix and your contributions to the community!
  5. Here are some detailed instructions on how to fix the fan revving up and down problem for other newbs like myself. Note these instructions are for mac. Links with some additional information: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=22527.0 https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=34557.15 https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/how-to-change-sensor-thresholds-with-ipmi-using-ipmitool.23571/ 1) Transferred ipmitool-1.8.13-x86_64-1_fs.tgz into the flash drive (downloaded here: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=34557.15) 2) SSH into unRAID 3) in Terminal, type "installpkg /boot/ipmitool-1.8.13-x86_64-1_fs.tgz" 4) in Terminal, type "modprobe ipmi_si" 5) in Terminal, type "modprobe ipmi_devintf" 6) in Terminal, type "ipmitool" to start IPMItool 7) in Terminal, type "ipmitool sensor list all" (read https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/how-to-change-sensor-thresholds-with-ipmi-using-ipmitool.23571/) in Terminal, type "ipmitool sensor thresh "FAN1" lower 0 100 200" (the first number, 0, is for the Lower Non-Recoverable threshold, the 2nd number, 100, is for the Lower Critical threshhold, and the 3rd number, 200, is for the Lower Non-Critical threshold. I got these numbers by ensuring my threshold was just below the minimum RPM of my fans, which I found on the manufacturer's website) 9) repeat for remaining fans
  6. Came here to post that I am having the same problem as sarf ^^. See attached picture.
  7. @phil1c Did you find a fix? I have the exact same problem as you. 8. Gotcha. I guess doing the way I posted would avoid the privileged mode option, which I'm not sure at all about.
  9. I'm still a little confused about this. Is this through MC? I see an option for "Background" when trying to initiate a copy in midnight commander but it doesn't do anything when I select it and press enter. Nevermind, it worked! This is an awesome feature, thanks for sharing. I suppose the transfer will continue to work even if you log out of the SSH session?
  10. I had this same problem, refer to this https://couchpota.to/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4158 for the answer. Essentially, you have to put the credentials in couchpotato for the deluge daemon, which is not the same as the web GUI credentials. What's confusing is that to connect Sonarr (the TV version of couchpotato) you can use the deluge web GUI credentials. On a side note, I'm really hoping the linusserver team puts out an rTorrent/ruTorrent version. Deluge is ok, but it's not too stable for me when I am seeding >2000 torrents. It constantly crashes on me.
  11. Just added rTorrent/ruTorrent. Awesome, I just added a vote to rTorrent. I don't mind Deluge, but it's so slow when seeding >2000 torrents.
  12. Hey folks, I'm having 2 problems with Headphones. I can't find torrents and I get an error message when I manually post-process files. I just installed Headphones on my new unRAID server, I run Deluge, and my Headphone settings are as follows: 1) Black hole settings, directory pointing to a folder I download torrent files to 2) Music Download directory is where Deluge moves torrents to after completion 3) Search providers is set to my private tracker with proper credentials 4) Quality is set to "Highest Quality including Lossless" 5) Post processing copies the download to my destination folder (Plex) so I can continue seeding I can't snatch torrents. When I manually post-process completed downloads, everything works (download gets moved to my Plex folder and everything is renamed) but there are error messages in my log that are bothering me: 2016-01-12 11:30:07 ERROR Uncaught exception: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/app/headphones/headphones/logger.py", line 210, in new_run old_run(*args, **kwargs) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/threading.py", line 763, in run self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs) File "/app/headphones/headphones/postprocessor.py", line 1189, in forcePostProcess verify(rgid, folder, keep_original_folder=keep_original_folder) File "/app/headphones/headphones/postprocessor.py", line 219, in verify doPostProcessing(albumid, albumpath, release, tracks, downloaded_track_list, Kind, keep_original_folder) File "/app/headphones/headphones/postprocessor.py", line 452, in doPostProcessing plex.update() File "/app/headphones/headphones/notifiers.py", line 362, in update sections = r.getElementsByTagName('Directory') AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'getElementsByTagName' 2016-01-12 11:30:07 ERROR Request raised exception: No connection adapters were found for '192.168.1.12:32400/library/sections' 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Sending library update command to Plex Media Server@ 192.168.1.12:32400 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Post-processing for Michael Bublé - Christmas complete 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Library scan complete 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Updating artist track counts 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Completed matching tracks from directory: /music/Michael Bublé - Christmas (2011) 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Track matching is 100.0% complete 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Track matching is 50.0% complete 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Now matching songs by Michael Bublé 2016-01-12 11:30:07 INFO Found 16 new/modified tracks in: '/music/Michael Bublé - Christmas (2011)'. 13. Just wanted to add that I as well had issues transcoding to RAM (/tmp). My TV shows played fine but any of my remux movies would not play (~20-30GB per movie). I have a 6 core processor with 32GB RAM. Until Plex fixes this, I think the Docker FAQ thread (http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40937.msg419495#msg419495) should be amended to NOT recommend transcoding to RAM. I just built my system so I followed those FAQs to the teeth. Would have saved me some frustrating hours. I followed these steps to transcode back to my SSD cache.
  14. Is this through MC? Just want to make a correction that is incorrect, you don't want this checked. This feature is misleading, I thought it meant to include subdirectories for copy. This feature actually means that if the source and destination have the same folder name, then to create an additional subdirectory. This isn't something most people will want.
