james25182
Hi. I'm running unRAID 6 on my HP microserver with a number of docker apps. What I'd like to do is connect the server to a VPN (Private Internet Access) and also have web traffic from other computers at home routed through it. Could anybody help me with how to set this up? CHBMB
DelugeVPN by binhex is all you need. Quote Link to comment
james25182
Thanks. I already have DelugeVPN installed - but isn't that just for torrents? Quote Link to comment
LVLAaron
Thanks. I already have DelugeVPN installed - but isn't that just for torrents? Yes. I'm not sure there's a good way to run the OpenVPN client directly on unraid. I would like to be corrected if that's not true. Can your router run OpenVPN? Quote Link to comment

My last router could but its processor was too slow and it ended up killing the bandwidth. Thing is, I want non-VPN connections for online gaming as going through the VPN can cause occasional lag. LVLAaron
You can generally select which systems go through the VPN and which don't. It's sort of abstract but maybe something like this would do the trick; http://www.tinyhardwarefirewall.com/ Great little kit. Stick it between your normal router and your unraid box. fatalfurry
You could enable Privoxy on the delugevpn docker. You would then change your browsers network settings to use "host ip:8118" as a proxy. I currently have this setup on Firefox and everything goes through the VPN. I then use Chrome or IE in the normal setup, and that get's routed through my normal internet access. Quote Link to comment

LVLAaron
I figured out that you can get the same hardware as the tiny hardware firewall I linked to earlier; http://www.amazon.com/GL-AR150-router-150Mbps-OpenWrt-Pre-installed/dp/B015CYDVG8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454177424&sr=8-1&keywords=gl+ar150 So if you already have a VPN account somewhere this would work. it's not free, but I like hardware... less risk of non-proxy'd connections.
