hernandito
I have given up trusting Seagate drives.... It seems any failure I have had in past couple of years have been Seagate's. Plus that 3TB issue that has been in the news... But I am NOT an HDD expert; just anecdotal experience. Link to comment
outsider
The 4TB version is half off the regular price. In fact all the drive capacities are heavily discounted. Link to comment
ysss
I wonder if this is in response to WD's announcement of 8TB helium drives... A pair of "8TB WD Red he" drives sells for $549 in the My Book 16tb : http://store.wdc.com/store/wdus/en_US/pd/ThemeID.21986300/productID.335134800/parid.13092300/catid.13092800/categoryID.67972900/WDBLWE0160JCH-NESN/My_Book_Duo/External_Storage Link to comment
kgregg
do I replace year old 5TB WD Red parity drive with the 6TB Seagate (now $199 on Amazon)? The Seagate would be the first non WD drive in my array. Wish the WD reds were on sale sometime soon. Decisions, decisions. Link to comment
