joefig44
When trying to upload to my unRaid NAS large files (usually mkv's 10-20GB each) from my Macbook Pro wirelessly, I get time-outs often and lost connections part way through the upload. Obiously connecting on ethernet is much faster and smoother, but not always possible. Was wondering if there is a more reliable way (maybe via FTP somehow) to upload these large files wirelessly to the NAS? Link to comment
ashman70
What protocol are you using AFP or SMB? What version of OSX are you running? Timeouts can be cased by a variety of issues. Do you get timeouts when uploading smaller files? Link to comment
smashingtool
Maybe not the best solution, but I would try Syncthing. Link to comment

isvein
If you have not turned on AFP its most likely SMB since AFP on Unraid is turned off by default. Link to comment
ashman70
Try turning on AFP, I copy large files from my Mac to my UnRaid server all the time and I have no issues, I have both AFP and SMB turned on. Link to comment
