No docker tab?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

i´m trying unraid 6.1.9 and there is no Docker tab available. Is it because of the unraid trail version or is the hardware i´m using is way to old?

Its because you have not enabled docker in settings... ;D

At least it was an easy fix :)

In fact this has given me an idea for a possible change to the GUI behaviour.  As a new user you might be in a good position to comment on whether it would be of help to you?

There are a number of tabs in the main GUI that currently are only shown if the underlying capability (e.g. Shares, docker, VMs) that are only shown when that capability is switched on in the Settings part of the GUI.  I was thinking perhaps the tabs should always be displayed, and if the facility is not yet enabled they take you to the relevant settings page instead of (as they currently do) to the pages for actually using the feature.  Probably something wrong with my idea but I think it might be worth at least floating it!

FWIW, I like this idea. More user friendly.

In this case it was my fault, of course you have to set the path for the docker image. I don´t know how to make it easier and sadly my english is way to bad to discribe a solution if i had one.

But, there is another example. I want to install the preclear plugin. I had to read in three or four places to figure out where the link for the plugin is, where the script is and where to put the script.

It were much easier if i could find everething in one place.

Here´s the link for the plugin and for the script.

Install the plugin und put the script in root an plugin directory on the flash drive. Your done...

Install Community Applications (link in sig) and you'll never have to worry about that again.

For most plugins the relevant information is always in the first post in the thread.  That gets updated as necessary to keep it current so you do not need to look through the thread.

Preclear has been a bit of a special case as the original author denied permission for modified versions of his script to be installed automatically by a plugin.  I think things may have changed since then.

As was mentioned earlier if you install the Community Applications plugin that now provides a single central point for finding and installing plugins and dockers.
