Is SMB transfer speed from windows on to the NAS is limited by your network maximum speed or it is limited by the harware maximum speed

Writing to the array (assuming you have parity) will run at around 30-40 MB/sec at best due to disk speed limitations.  A gigabit network can reach a bit over 100MB/sec so in that scenario the disks are the limiting factor.  When reading the converse is true - the network is the limiting factor and you should get 100+ MB/sec..

If reading or writing to the cache drive then the network is typically the limiting factor for both reading and writing.

The above assumes you have reasonably modern hardware.  With older hardware then either the CPU or the disk controllers can have limitations that mean reads and writes speeds are lower than the network speed.

With my old hardware (Asrock Wolfdale Board with Intel E8500 cpu and a cheap gigabit network adapter) i had a maximum of 75 MB/s.

With the new MSI Bord with Core i3 4170 and on board gigabit lan i have 113Mb/s transfer speed and the network is the limit.

Thought about ssd cache drives but I think there is no advantage to my Hitachi HDDs because of the "slow"  network...

The problem is i cant go higner then 10MB/s with wd red.

If i use ssd as a cache would it help.

I think your network is the problem. Is everything Gigabit capable? The WD Reds in my WD NAS tranfer large Files easily over 100 MB/s

Definitely sounds like network. You can see the speed of the unRAID connection in the lower left of the Dashboard.

Just look in to dashboard it say 10/100/1000 i use gigabit cable and gigabit port on router but i guess the buttleneck is the old vostro 230 mini tower.

Post diagnostics, or go to command line and post results of
ethtool eth0

You can check what speed the Vostro is connecting at by looking at it's Network Adapter status in control panel
