detz
I replaced my 1.5TB with a new 5TB drive and started it up. It's been on "Spinning up all drives...Start array...Mounting disks..." for a while. Will it stay in this state until it's up and running making it unusable? Is there a way I can see what the progress is? Quote Link to comment
detz
I did preclear it but does that help with upgrade when I format with a different type? Syslog shows: Mar 29 11:04:22 Tower emhttp: reiserfs: resizing /mnt/disk5 Quote Link to comment
detz
I was just impatient, things started up! :-) Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Unclear on what you are doing. Is all your data intact and where you expect it to be? There are a few key phrases in your posts that made my spidey senses tingle. Format, upgrade, different type, replaced. Quote Link to comment
detz
For clarity, I got a new drive (5TB vs 1.5TB) and ran the preclear script on it for the last two weeks to get it ready. When it was done I swapped the drive and when it booted up I had the message "Mounting disks" which took a while. Everything is rebuilt and working great. Quote Link to comment
