defiant
Hi all, i just upgraded my motherboard and cpu for my Unraid Servo. Once i got everything booted up, i was unable to connect over the network using the server name or former IP address. My new motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-X99-Ultra with Intel Gbe and Killer e2400 nics. I plugged in both ports but still am unable to login to the server. I've attached my syslog for details. Thanks. syslog.txt Quote Link to comment

John_M
Your two Ethernet ports start off as eth0 and eth1: Jul 7 08:21:02 Servo kernel: alx 0000:0a:00.0 eth0: Qualcomm Atheros AR816x/AR817x Ethernet [1c:1b:0d:07:8f:0f] ... defiant
Ok so in the bios, there was an option to enable/disable "PCH Internal LAN" which is described as "Enables or disables the onboard LAN function. (Default: Enabled) If you wish to install a 3rd party add-in network card instead of using the onboard LAN, set this item to Disabled." Just by frustration i disabled this function and the server came online. Thanks for the tips, i'll leave this here in case someone else has this odd problem. Quote Link to comment
