allischalmersman
Hi. I have a 3TB seagate that I replaced with a 4TB. I ran 3 cycles of preclear on the old drive and it sat for a month or so and now I am adding it back to the array. When I assigned it to the array it gave me a file system error and showed as unmountable. I don't know why but since I knew it didn't have data on it and didn't care I clicked format. Then it allowed me to add it to the array and shows like its available as the system is showing the full 20TB server capacity. But it is not writing to this disk, and when I go into a specific share it is not shown as an available disk. Disk 1-5 are shown, but not the new (reused) disk which is now disk 6. I completed a parity check with the new drive in, no errors. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Andrew Quote Link to comment
