Final paragraph states five year warranty.

They are described as "pulled" drives so I doubt they have a fresh 5 year warranty on them. More likely whatever is left over if any at all.

This describes what they mean by 'pulled' they are not used.

What is a "pulled" hard drive? A "clean pull" hard drive is one that was in a pre-built desktop system that was built by a system manufacturer but did not sell. The hard drive has been pulled out of the system and re-packaged in static free wrap.

That also means that there is NO warranty!  The warranty would be through the manufacturer or the pre-built desktop system.

That being said, I have recently purchased a bunch of 2TB Ultrastars from a couple of sellers on eBay.  They drives arrived in great condition.  I'm running them in a large RAID10 array, so if a couple die, no big deal. I also bought a couple of spares.

With the reputation Hitatchi has they should perform well beyond five years. If I lived in the sates I'd snatch some up.
