My system pooched it self, had to hard rebooted and now it will not start the array because i have too many devices or it thinks it does. I have a plus license 12 devices excluding my usb drive. Squid Posted September 16, 2016 Share Posted September 16, 2016 Unassigned devices attached to the system also count against the licence count. This includes stuff like hard drives (internal or external) passed through to VMs, DVD drives, etc. Link to comment
garycase Posted September 16, 2016 Share Posted September 16, 2016 As noted, even drives you're not using count. Solution is to either remove some drives or simply upgrade to a Pro license. Note that Pro has no limit on the number of drives you can have in the system. Link to comment

Well if you do upgrade then the limit on attached devices is removed completely. The number of drives that can be attached to the cache pool has also been dramatically increased (I think the new limit is something like 30 drives). Link to comment
