October 19, 20169 yr I am thinking of retiring my old Norco 4220 and getting something a little smaller and quieter. Since hardrives are getting bigger and bigger there really is no need of a 20+ drive rackmount case that is quite noisy After some research I came across the NZXT H440 (without the window) case and it looks promising. It can hold 11 drives internal plus a couple of SSD's. Is anyone using this case? How are the noise levels? Any other concerns? Cheers!
October 19, 20169 yr I've seen people using it but don't have any direct experience. It's worth a site search, though. As a reminder, go back out to the forum Home Page to do the search so it searches across all sub forums. I like the Fractal Design cases in this category, but the NZXT looks like a nice, lower cost alternative.
October 19, 20169 yr Author I did a search but not much came up.. Just people thinking about getting one and they are a bit older.. I thought maybe somebody got one in the meantime
October 19, 20169 yr Good review here I went r5 (holds 10 HDDs + 2ssds) as wasn't keen on the soundproofing not fitting snuggly
October 19, 20169 yr Haven't used this specific case, but have used other NZXT cases, and the build quality is quite good. The reviews for this case on both Newegg and Amazon are very good, so it's almost certainly a good choice.

October 25, 20169 yr Author So I received my case (the black windowless version) and am pretty happy with it so far. It will hold 11 3.5" drives and 2 SSD's. Lots of room and this has to be my cleanest cable routing I have ever done lol.. Build quality is excellent. I did add another 2 120mm fans to the top of the case for exhaust. It way quieter than my old norco 4220.. and HDD temps are between 25-29 C even will all drives busy.. I'll post a few pics in 2 weeks when I add more drives..
