October 20, 20169 yr Three times this week I have been unable to connect to my server and I have had to reboot, usually hard. How can I collect the log from the last session as the ones I see are from this boot and do not show the crash. V 6.1.9
October 20, 20169 yr Three times this week I have been unable to connect to my server and I have had to reboot, usually hard. How can I collect the log from the last session as the ones I see are from this boot and do not show the crash. V 6.1.9 You can't, because unRaid is 100% ram resident and the syslog doesn't survive a boot. Either install the fix common problems plugin and toss it into Troubleshooting Mode (which will do what you want, and more, but its not designed to run in that mode for more than a month or so before it itself causes problems by filling up your logs with extra troubleshooting info), or from the local keyboard & monitor or via a ssh screen session, tail -f /var/log/syslog > /boot/syslog.txt
October 24, 20169 yr Author I dont know if it is related but I have put it into Troubleshooting mode as suggested and I now dont seem to be able to write to the server it says there is no space but windows and Unraid report 800Gb+ free. Actually the syslog says there is not enough space, any idea why? tower-syslog-20161025-0059.zip
October 25, 20169 yr What is your Hardware - Infos??? Because unRAID stays in RAM, do an intensive RAM-Test. And the rest of your machine? What is it?
October 25, 20169 yr post a screenshot of your main unraid screen.. your running out of space somewhere..
October 25, 20169 yr And your diagnostics. Sight unseen of the share settings, it could be the minimum settings for free space on the Media share causing this.... If you still can't grab your diagnostics, they should have been saved via troubleshooting mode within the logs folder on the flash drive.

The 800Gb Free is what is quoted when I do properties from windows but is also what is reported in the main screen in UNRaid.
October 25, 20169 yr There's 800 gig free but it's meaningless without your diagnostics (minimum space settings etc) Sent from my LG-D852 using Tapatalk
October 25, 20169 yr Author OK Attached the diagnostics and a screen image of the Shares section. Is this normal, I have three shares setup and visible in Windows and on my Popcornhour(s) but nothing shows here.. tower-diagnostics-20161025-2139.zip
October 25, 20169 yr Mobile so can't check the diagnostics but as for the shares not showing up possibly an ad blocker interfering with the display Sent from my LG-D852 using Tapatalk
October 25, 20169 yr Author OK Thanks, tried viewing from Edge and the shares show up, will look into why that it later. Attached are screen shots for the two shares.
October 25, 20169 yr If I'm reading that right, you require 60GB free on the media share and your free space is right around there on each of the drives.. Thats why it says out of room..
October 25, 20169 yr Author You are right lowered it a bit and it works now. Got a new 3Tb arriving tomorrow. It would be nice for there to be a warning rather than the server just lock, can one be turned on anywhere?
