December 23, 20169 yr Author how is dual and quad different? I am trying to passthrough quad PCIE nic card(the intel i35-t4 version- non-original)
December 24, 20169 yr Sorry, I thought from your initial post that you were trying to pass through an onboard port. When I set mine up I didn't bother editing the XML, I just went as far as stubbing the card (up to step 7 in jonp's post). I was then able to just select the NIC from the drop down list using the VM editor GUI.
December 26, 20169 yr Post your lspci output. When I used a quad port and passed it through it showed up as three devices, a PCI bridge and two pairs of controllers. I had to just pass the controllers through, not the bridge.
