I have followed steps of jonp mentioned in the post- https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=39638.0 to get the ethernet port available. The logs does not makes sense to me at all.. NeoDude
Save yourself the hassle and just buy an Intel PCIe Dual NIC to pass through. Link to comment
vinay
how is dual and quad different? I am trying to passthrough quad PCIE nic card(the intel i35-t4 version- non-original) Link to comment
NeoDude
Sorry, I thought from your initial post that you were trying to pass through an onboard port. When I set mine up I didn't bother editing the XML, I just went as far as stubbing the card (up to step 7 in jonp's post). I was then able to just select the NIC from the drop down list using the VM editor GUI. Link to comment
METDeath
Post your lspci output. When I used a quad port and passed it through it showed up as three devices, a PCI bridge and two pairs of controllers. I had to just pass the controllers through, not the bridge. Link to comment
