Hi guys

i was just wondering if Unraid would work with a motherboard that handled 4 cpus and was loaded with 4. I ask people when I search four quad CPU I get result for quad core CPU :)

just sitting here here dreaming of an overkill

build and can't find the answer.

Thanks

I know of no reason that a quad CPU configuration would not work. You are really asking about the capabilities of the Linux kernel, and not unRaid.

Thanks to the reply. I think it would be a really fun build to do and run. Will try to see if it's been done and what they ran with. Thanks fo answering

I think unraid is configured for upto 64 or 128 number of cpus, or some ridiculous number. Look at how the linux kernel is configured in /usr/src/linux* area or where the kernel is normally setup from.
