Noob Question-Parity Drive.

I am looking at replacing my old nas with Unraid NAS design.

Just got a question on "Parity Drive".   My old nas has 2 6TB disk.

So does that mean I need to get another 6TB disk to act as my Parity Drive ?

6TB or larger. If you want to upgrade your data drive sizes in the future, the parity drive must be equal to or larger than any of the data drives. Find the best deal for you, in the USA 8TB external drives that are easily removable from the case to use as an internal drive are less than $200, albeit with the warranty tied to being in the external case.

Is it wise to use one of those disk as a Parity ? Shouldn't it be a NAS hard disk ?

NAS spec is related to having the drive in a RAID array where there are tight tolerances that the drives must meet. Since unRaid is not a RAID array, those tolerances are not important. So any drive can be parity. You want parity to be as fast or faster than other array drives for slightly better performance. That is really the only consideration, and it's a relatively small one.
