For starters, what are some good recommendations for: 1) Single stream transcoding 2) 6 SATA or more 3) Xeon grade processor 4) Let's say no more than 5 years old Quote Link to comment
1812 Posted August 17, 2017 Share Posted August 17, 2017 Dell TXXX servers usually have 4-6 sata ports and xeon procs. I have a few older ones doing multiple duty from storage to vm/storage. Passmark over 3500 and you should be set. Note: some of the Txxxx servers only have spaces for 4 hard drives. Some have hot swap bay for 6. Quote Link to comment
