how to find out if Promise FastTrak TX 4650 is compatible?

Featured Replies

I am having problems getting unRaid to recognize drives plugged into this card.  How do I find out if this is compatible?

Are the drives configured as JBOD in the card's RaidBIOS?

I'm having similar issues with the Promise FastTrak TX4660.  Was there a solution here?  Both the card and the mobo recognize the drives attached to the 4660 in JBOD mode, however they don't show up on my v5beta12 server.  Do I need to incorporate a linux driver for the TX4660 into unRAID or something?

I had to return the card and get another.  I don't remember what card was the new one and I'm on the road 600 miles away so don't have access to the machine or documentation.  If you send me an email sometime next week, I will be back and see what I can find.

I appreciate the help, though I'd been hoping for a more positive conclusion.  I can always buy a new card and RMA this one, it's just disappointing that it doesn't work.

If you can, please let us know what motherboard you were using.

I had some notions of including a linux driver for this card to my unRAID kernel, since both the motherboard and the RAID card can see the HDs, however everything I've seen leads me to suspect the level of effort is prohibitive.
