February 13, 20188 yr Author Disk5 is still part of the array, as a fresh data disk (I formatted it once the data was restored form it to my other spare disk). The BTRFS restore was done to a specific disk (disk7), my "old" parity2 drive after taking it from parity2 slot and placing it as data disk 7. I'll post a screenshot when I am back on my home network Thanks!
February 13, 20188 yr Community Expert OK, I think I understand, so to remove the now empty disk5 from the array you have 2 options: -easier way but array will be unprotected until parity sync finishes: new config, unassign disk5 and assign it as parity2, start array to begin parity sync on both parity disks. -a little more work but array will remain protected: clear disk5, new config, unassign disk5, trust parity and start the array, stop array, add old disk5 as parity2, start array to begin parity2 sync.
