1activegeek Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 I would like to suggest an option to backup the header of encrypted disks. Currently if something catastrophic was to happen to a disk and just screw up the headers - the data would be irretrievable. While I know a solid backup strategy should be utilized - there are scenarios wherein a simple recovery of the header could void the need for restore from backups. This can result in a quicker/easier time in restoring data on an encrypted disk. It's also possible that this could be used to simply get a system back up and running. 1 2 Quote
Phuriousgeorge Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Actually had my header info lost on a drive not long after migrating data due to a power loss I believe and lost about half the data on the drive. This would be very much appreciated. Quote
