FloppyWaffles
Hi, I know there are a lot of topics on this, but I feel like I've been through all I can find. I still can't find a solution. One computer is giving me headaches. The other computers can access everything just fine except this one now. I used to be able to access it with no troubles, but now I can't even access the Web GUI. I had some trouble with the PC a few weeks ago, where the I couldn't access the internet from my ethernet port. I have since figured this out, somehow. I had to reset everything pertaining to the ethernet settings. Now I notice that it says my wifi network name on my ethernet info. It didn't use to say this. I can even see that there is a Plex Media device on my network, which is my server. I can't seem to map my drives no matter what I do. I can't manually map, or browse the NAS in the file explorer. I can't find the web gui using the IP address or the server name I do have the local master plugin on the server I'm frustrated, can anyone point me in the right direction? I have tried these just today: https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/7857-first-time-user-cant-access-web-gui/ https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/23536-cant-access-unraid-server-from-1-pc-on-network/ https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/17082-solved-no-web-interface-available/ https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/68193-windows-10-does-not-see-unraid-server-in-network-browse/ Link to comment
Frank1940
Have you been through this one: https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/53172-windows-issues-with-unraid/ It some solutions and links to a lot of other threads where folks have found a solution to their issue. Please understand that SMB is a Kludge and sometimes you have to beat it into submission. And after you have found the answer, you may feel that the solution was more witchcraft than engineering skill. If you don't find it in this thread, come back and give some some real details on this computer's version of Windows. (Home, Pro, Enterprise. If win10 build number.) If you have Windows credentials stored on this computer. And how you are trying to access the server. (Public, private or secure). The more gritty details, the better. I would recommend that you run the LanScan on this computer so you can see which computer this computer 'thinks' is the local master and what other computers it finds on the LAN. (NOTE: LanScan is a Internet download. You can find it here: https://scottiestech.info/2009/02/14/how-to-determine-the-master-browser-in-a-windows-workgroup/ As with any download, do use caution if something doesn't look right, do some checking. I downloaded the latest version about three months ago and everything was fine at that point.) Link to comment
FloppyWaffles
Thanks for the reply! I'll keep digging and report back. I did have some success with the issue computer being able to see the Web UI. I used the reserve IP address function in my router. Something I didn't really think of. That got me somewhere at least. Ok I tried to run the LANScan, and it won't run I get the following error "System error 1231 has occurred. The network location cannot be reached. For information about network troubleshooting, see Windows Help" So I am trying to figure that out. In the meantime I have been trying to go through that thread. I have also attached a diagnostic file to this for future info. Manually mapping the drive still does not work. I believe I am a little over my head. Now it doesn't show up on the computer I didn't have issues with before. I believe the server is public on my network in my house. I am trying to find it just through file explorer or mapping it as a network location. My PC Info: Windows 10 Pro Version 1709 OS Build 16299.309 OK, I suspect that the problem is caused when MS decided to disable SMB1 after Win10 was released. IF you read the recent posts on the LanScan link that I referred to you, you will find a series of discussions beginning in late 2017 about this. There is also a discussion of this here: https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/53172-windows-issues-with-unraid/?page=2&tab=comments#comment-625264 As you may know there are at least three current versions of Win10 (1709, 1703 and 1607) that are being supported by MS, so keeping track of what the status of each is full time job... I'm looking into this. Another thing I noticed, which is annoying that if I type the IP address of the server into a file explorer, it just opens a web browser to that address? Link to comment

I also looked, I had SMB 1.0 enabled. All three checkboxes. I even tried disabling it, with no luck. I would book a tech support appointment, but I would have to take a day off work Link to comment

FloppyWaffles
Just wanted to reply and let everyone know that something in the SMB reset had fixed it. No idea what it was but now it works. Thanks! Link to comment
