JorgeB Posted July 16, 2018 Share Posted July 16, 2018 If I use this method to remove disk 13 from array, would I be able to access disk 13 from unassigned devices?Not with the same hardware, if xfs_repair can't fix the disk on the array the same will happen using it as an unassigned device, IMO and like already mentioned, if you continue to use the array you risk doing even more damage. One thing you can do, and it should be safe as long as the array is only started in maintenance mode, is to swap the SATA cable from disk13 with a disk connected on the onboard SATA ports, then start the array in maintenance mode and run xfs_repair, if it still fails post the output.
