UnRaid Serv. stuck in reboot after lost USB Dev.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am hoping to get help with an UnRaid server issue I am having today. I attempted to reboot my server in order to upgrade from v. 6.1.9 to 6.5.3 (Stable) this morning using the WebGui. It has gotten stuck and the server says "System Initialization". While troubleshooting I noticed that there is no USB device. I can no longer access the WebGui. I am hoping to get some help troubleshooting this issue. A couple questions I have:

1. Is there a way to boot up without the original USB?

2. If I have to create a new USB is there a way to find my original key and transfer it? Or will I need a replacement key?

3. If I create a new USB device will I lose and data/configurations?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I did not download and run the Update Assistant plugin. I did follow the directions for the updating. I believe the name is just "Tower" but I am unsure how to view the BIOS without the USB Drive inserted into the server.

Typically you get into the motherboard BIOS by pressing some key when it powers up, no USB drive (or indeed any drive) required. Often it is the delete key. Your motherboard manual should tell you.
