comdex
Hi, there is a brilliant post by a post by another community member about RMRR Error Patching in HP hardware, I was wondering is it possible to be integrated into the UnRAID kernel, so we don't have to do that everytime when there is a new release! the post in question with the solution to this stupid problem is found here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/72681-unraid-hp-proliant-edition-rmrr-error-patching/ Thanks in advance Quote Link to comment
bonienl
Would this impact non HP systems? Quote Link to comment
comdex
As far as I understand it only patch one parameter in intel-iommu.c in the kernel drivers! So I don't think it will impact other systems, but I am not an expert there is a detailed bash script how the whole process is done now in the post of the original poster Edited September 7, 2018 by comdex Quote Link to comment
bonienl
I leave this to Limetech to judge. Personally I would be hesitant to kernel driver updates for specific hardware. There are many more non HP (custom build) systems out there, which you don't want to get impacted. 1 Quote Link to comment
