can i install unRaid on a hard disk ?

It could be installed and run from HD and still look at the GIUD on the flash drive as copy protection.  And the free version (up to 3 drives) doesn't employ such copy protection so it certainly could be installable to a HD.  unRAID would be much more versatile and useful if it could be installed as a package on Slackware running from a HD.

That just invites questions like "How do I do that?"

 

You can't do it and be in compliance with the wishes of the author or the license of the software, at this time.

 

Is it potentially possible?  Of course. 

 

Just don't want this thread to turn into an "it should, why doesn't it" discussion.
