And the free version (up to 3 drives) doesn't employ such copy protection so it certainly could be installable to a HD. unRAID would be much more versatile and useful if it could be installed as a package on Slackware running from a HD. You can't do it and be in compliance with the wishes of the author or the license of the software, at this time. Is it potentially possible? Of course.
