July 9, 200718 yr I currently run a Coolermaster tower with an Asus K8n-E Delux mobo and 12 drives, running Win2K (no RAID... drives are independent). It serves up my media files via Apache to my media players. I have drive spindowns set to 10 minutes, and server suspend at 5 minutes. WOL from S3 is about 5 seconds, which is shorter than the boot-up time for the media players (Buffalo and Pinnacle)... so it works well. I want to scrap Windows and go to UnRaid, but only if it will support S3 suspend and Apache. I found another thread for installing Apache on UnRaid, so that is covered. What is the status of supporting S3 suspend?
July 10, 200718 yr S3 suspend is not support at this time. It is on the list for a future release. I think this is the reason I can't get WOL to work in unRAID on my lanparty 250 GB board. :'( Shit, sleep is overrated anyways, Tom. Get cracking! As my vietmanese IT friend would say: "Fixy Fixy the no worky!" (He spoke perfect unaccented english btw. He just liked messing with people)
July 10, 200718 yr Was the language really necessary in that last post? Not all of us consider it part of everyday speech. Ok, stepping down off box now
