parity and array with ssds?

Featured Replies

Hey, would that be doable? I mean, that it shoudl work is clar, i mean, do i get speed improvements over hdds? seq and random? Anyone using it?

Since im in the way of moving all my stuff off in the cloud (thanks rclone and unionfs) i would only need a fast array for "caching"

Are there drives which are working when tehy not getting trimmed? (without any manual stuff)

How much speed decrease i can think of when not trimming?

search google for @johnnie.black unraid ssd array

He has done extensive work with this subject, and was actively using an all SSD array for a period of time. May still be, I don't know.

Not for a while, performance wasn't really that good, now for performance I've been using raid5 btrfs pools with SSDs (and HDDs in some cases)

So no array drives, just ssd caches?

For some servers, those where performance is a priority, I use only pools, for example:
