binar
Greetings, Do two parity drives need to be connected to the same onboard controller used by 5 data drives? In other words, a motherboard I'm thinking about buying has 5 SATA ports assigned to an onboard INTEL controller and 5 additional SATA ports assigned to a LSI onboard controller. So if I go about connecting 5 data drives to the INTEL controller assigned SATA ports and 2 Parity drives to the LSI controller assigned SATA ports will Unraid still work correctly in such a configuration scenario? Can an Unraid array successfully work when it spans across two different onboard controllers? Any opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
