Hard Drive issues

Had a drive drop offline for the second time in a week. I stopped the array and removed/replaced the drive and reassigned it (rebuilding now). Got a bunch of error notifications after restarting the array. All for the same drive.

Full SMART report is attached. Is it time to replace this one?

197 Current_Pending_Sector  -O--C-   100   100   000    -    8
198 Offline_Uncorrectable   ----C-   100   100   000    -    8

With these two attributes being what they indicate (at least, eight sectors are both pending and uncorrectable), I, personally, would get this drive out of my array.  If you wanted to, you could then run it through, say, three preclear cycles and see if the errors are cleared by being reallocated. and that no new occurrences crop up.

For me, yes.

Thanks guys. Got a replacement on order. Looks like I’ll get a chance to play with @binhex‘s new docker.
