(SOLVED) What happens if i move files from one share to another but each share has no access to each disk?

What happens if i move via smb gui files from :

 

Share1 > Share2

 

Share1 is setup to be only on disk1

Share2 is setup to be only on disk2

 

Is unraid smart enough to move the files to the cache and then move them physically to the other drive at night or is a new pointer created and the physical file remains on disk1?

It depends on how the files are moved:

• If done via network (e.g. what I would assume you meant by "SMB GUI") then the file will be moved from disk1 to disk2. This has nothing to do with how smart Unraid is (see below) but rather moving a file through the network between shares will create a new copy of the file and then delete the old copy so it will inevitably move the file from disk1 to disk2.
• If done via command line then you will have a Share1 folder on disk2.

It will be moved directly from disk1 to disk2, bypassing network if Windows 8/10 is used.

is this because of more modern smb version used in 8/10 or something else?

Yes, it uses Samba's server side copy.
