Shaky1234
Woke up this morning to see that my new hard drive is disabled. It looks like it try to read and write to the drive over night. I try to check the smart report but somehow this drive didn't have one. I tried running a smart scan directly on the drive and it had an error of drive not found. Wondering if I need to get a new drive now or try to re-enable this drive. I attached the diagnostics log, the smart log and screen shot of the drive. Thanks in advance. tower-diagnostics-20191130-1528.zip tower-smart-20191130-1033.zip Quote Link to comment
trurl
Bad connections are much more common than bad disks. Especially if you have recently been inside the case to install a new disk. Check all connections, power and SATA, both ends, including any power splitters. Then post new diagnostics. 1 Quote Link to comment
Shaky1234
I change the power cable and sata port this drive was plugged into. This time there was a smart log this time for the drive. Should I rebuild the disk again? I attached the new diagnostics. tower-diagnostics-20191130-1656.zip Quote Link to comment
